 | 41264 | May 16, 2004 5:28am | I find it really hard to believe that a set-up by the government would be botched so badly. It's almost like whoever made that video made sure that people would pick the faults. Was it all put together on purpose? And I don't mean it was done to take the heat off Bush either.
Nothing adds up, nothing seems real. Could it possibly be one huge attempt to discredit the American government? The more I read on this, the more it looks like it.
The orange jumpsuit, the time differences, the "white" hands of the killers, the lack of a false leg.. it goes on and on. It's so obviously wrong that it makes you look deeper into the picture. Could it have been a setup to look like a setup?
Of course I'm just speculating, but somehow it seems that Bush is the one who is the patsy.. It's just too plain to be anything else. The American government couldn't possibly mess up so badly, could they? Maybe they did, and they did it on purpose because they knew what the fallout would be (Bush gone, Kerry in). Don't get me wrong, I still think he's a moron, but there is more to this than meets the eye.
Like someone said on a forum..
Clinton + blowjob = impeachment
Bush + major fuckup = nothing
Somehow it just doesn't add up..

There is a saying "Just because your paranoid doesn't mean that people aren't out to get you. I don't necessarily believe that covert Ops are bad or evil in intent. I don't think people go into the CIA or FBI because they want to hurt this country, nor are they getting super rich from the fruits of their labors, not like the business/henchmen of Bush/Cheney. I believe this country is foundering in misinformation. We still don't know the truth about things that went on in the civil war a century and a half ago. We in the US run on rant and rave, yellow journalism, and sensationalism, with very little attention to facts, reality or good common sense. This is not to say there are not sensible, reasonable people with good intent in this country. there are milions of them, and they are of all sorts of political leanings, including conservatives. Some of the problems are that those people are trying to find the threads of truth in a vast dustbin of lies and misinformation. Also for every thinking discerning person there seems to be a dozen knee jerk reactionaries without the time or the inclination or the brains to look beyond whatever leaning seems to catch their fancy. I don't think there is anything new here, the only thing different is there are just more and more people and more and more information and it's all quite confusing. This is one reason why I simplified this group so that it all boils down to two words. Bush Sucks. I do believe that is still what ever word of every thread in here points to. This country can be a wonderful addition to the world, or we can be horrible selfish bullies. I's like to see it run like I try to run my life. ie: I know I can kick some ass but I rather prefer being helpful and nice and making friends along the way. That sounds corny but fuck it I'm leaving it in anyway. doG. |

But the networks, which still reach the largest audiences, are cutting back on stories they might once have felt an obligation to cover -vespecially foreign news. The most accessible media are devolving into the least useful and daring. The educationally and economically deprived in our society, who used to receive at least some exposure to information they might not have selected for themselves, but from which they might have received some benefit, are now reduced to watching only what we believe they want; and we have little confidence in their appetite and range."

THIS is the problem... you're right doG. |

But because I'm in Australia, and our Prime Minister is a pussy, I also worry for myself and my kids. I know that we are being spoon fed by these assholes. I know that we only hear what they want us to hear, and I know that slowly but surely we are going to disintegrate if things keep going the way they are.
Maybe I'm just cynical and pessimistic.. maybe I just worry too much. Either way, something has to be done, and fast.. |

The world is more divided every day and things are going so bad so quick that it's amazing. I've become very pessimistic. There are days when I just don't want to see the news at all because the injustices put me over the edge. Other days I just can't get enough news because I want to know all that I can... which results in my getting so pissed off that I wanna scream. I try not to be too pessimistic around my kids, though... I wouldn't want them to lose all hope.
Certainly are disturbing times we're living in, huh? |
